Hello,
I'm relisting this as I had a couple bidders string me along for several weeks and never came through. To those bidders, please do not submit any bids on my listing or I will reject them.
I took lots of pictures on the below link since the last auction :

I also have VIN pics of the door plate and block I can email. It's all numbers matching
You are a looking a very rare 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible factory 4 speed with Special Police package. Per the PHS docs it says its a 'Spec Police' model with 389 4 barrel and a factory 4 speed. Also equipped with a Posi, 8 lug wheels, and heavy duty frame. How many factory 4 speed 63 Bonne convertibles did they make ? I assume not many.
The easiest way to describe the car is this. It was a one owner before me and I have all the old registrations and license plate. It was put up in a barn until about a year ago when an auction house pulled it out, cleaned up, refreshed brakes, replaced tires, and put it up for auction. From what I can tell it's had paint work, a top, and some interior work. Being a barn stored car it's a driver and not a show car. Paint is worn, interior is worn, chrome is worn. Windshield was also damage so it needs one. But overall it's what I call a 'Patina Driver' and not $ 40, 000 like a perfect one would be.
Breakdown :
Body - Some rust bubbles on doors and sides. Paint flaking off here and there you can see in the pics. Windshield is bad. Chrome is flaking on front bumper bad and minor in back. Chrome is pitted as all these do. Top is in decent shape but the tack strip on the back is mostly off. Does not leak that I've seen. Tires are brand new. Missing a couple lugnuts. The top motor makes noise and works when it wants to. I've had to assist it some going down. It probably need some help or a pump. Trunk and floors are great.
Interior - appears to have had new carpet and dash pad. Also seats done. One light doesn't work, the rest do. All gauges work. Radio does not but the original is in the trunk which is in non working shape. Also original antenna is in the trunk. Door panels warped. Visors need redone but with the car.
Engine / Trans - Engine starts every time. Runs good. Trans shifts good. Car drives good and stops good. Does leak engine oil
Summary - it's a car that is a great driver as is but would need paint, chrome work, and interior door panels to be really good. Maybe a top as well. But as I said, this is not a $ 40, 000 done car, it's a fun driver.
I also have the car listed on Craigslist Dallas so it may sell by other means. I'm overseas friendly and will work with a transport company of your choice.
If you want any more pictures please let me know. Inspections welcome.
I will also be going to Wisconsin from Dallas soon if you want to kick in $$$ for gas I can deliver inbetween possibly
$ 1000 Deposit due within 24hrs of auction close. Remainder due upon pickup or within 48 hours, whichever comes first.
