Smokey and the bandit clone. This car started out with a red exterior and black interior. It was partially restored in 2003-2004 and has been sitting ever since. Actual mileage is 106, 020. As far as we know it is the original 400 CID engine and TH350 trans. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2003. Receipts in hand for all that work.. It now needs a total restoration to make it whole again. There are rust and corrosion issues in the body panels, rear window, frame and trunk. No brakes, they are rusty, but repairable with all new parts. It had overheating problems before it was parked and it was not solved before being put up. It had wiring/battery discharge problems before it was parked and it was not solved prior to parking it. Potential issues are rusty fuel tank, fuel system, non-working sending unit. rusty ring gear with the potential to ruin the rear diff. if driven, trans seals and leaking speedo gear. It did eventually go into gear but it was stiff and stubborn. Engine problems may include sticking valves and lifters, compressed valve springs and blown head gaskets. Engine does spin over and actually ran intermittently for a couple of minutes while pouring fuel into the carb until the starter hung up. Tires are dry rotted and not safe to drive. Interior is fair. Needs headliner, rear seat back faded and other minor trim issues. Paint is faded as well as the decals. Please contact me with any questions and refer to the photos for reference. It does not run or drive. Needs everything top to bottom, but the basics are there.
