I purchased the car in April, but I have decided to start my search for a C6 (and I miss the third pedal!). The car has the potential to be an absolute monster. Through the T56, the car made 803/790 on a dynojet on about 12psi of boost, 93 pump gas and 13-14* of timing. It put down 842/844 on 17psi on a Mustang dyno. Please read the ad in its entirety if you are interested in the car.
The Bad
-The car was converted from a T56 to a built 4l80e last summer and has not been fully dyno tuned since. The car was on a dyno in mid May, but the session was ended early due to a fitting on the radiator letting go. The tuner improved a low speed stall/stumble issue and tuned the car to about half throttle. A final tune with WOT and further transmission tuning will be needed.
-The tires on the Fikses have dry rot and need to be replaced.
-The exhaust where the cutout is hangs very low and will most likely need to be adjusted for street driving; the cutout will just barely scrape every so often as it sits
-The low oil light is currently on, I need to plug the sensor back in but keep forgetting
-The trans. pan gasket is seeping and will leave a few drips after sitting a while
-The button to reset the wideband needs to be rewired, the solder fell apart while cleaning up some wiring under the dash
-I am having an issue where on maybe 1 out of 20 starts the starter is continuing to try to engage with the key off; I believe this is an issue with the power wire going to the starter
-I will disclose any other things that come to my attention. Some of these issues are very minor and quick fixes, but I want to be as detailed as possible if someone were to come see the car as it currently sits. I would not recommend this car to a novice mechanic. Someone familiar with highly modified/turbo cars and the ability to troubleshoot issues that will come up would be the ideal buyer.
