The car is for sale locally, and auction will be removed if it sells.
Took it out for a cruise. The builder had told me it was a low 10 second car, and the rebuild was just before he sold it a few years ago, that was two years ago I believe. I bought it last year, the previous owner told me he rarely drove it, and when he did it was just to cruise around. I have driven it 900 miles. The odometer reads over 4500 miles.
Then this happened. I really didn't hear it very well, as the car has Borla Sportsman Mufflers that turn down just behind the cabin, so all I know there was noise. ...oil pressure dropped rapidly. Shutter. 18 psi the last block before I got home. It died. Car still has all the same parts, but one of gave up. If someone else want to find out before I do make me an offer before I get any sense back. Some oil dumped out the catch can breather, but the dipstick still read between add and full, so it didn't lose much it seem.
As it sits now, I have moved the AC compressor to easily access the valve cover, and unbolted the idler arm from the alternator to remove the belt. See picture. All the black hoses are for the vaccum pump which run to the catch can. I have a picture that shows, nothing much has been undone yet. That will be the second to last picture(belt is off). I had several people interested in at priced at $28, 000 before this happened.
The last picture show a crack on the quarter, I was quoted around $1000 to fix. Both shops believe it is some filler used to smooth the transition lines, but no way to be 100% sure. It hasn't changed in 7 months so I don't think its anything major, (The sploches are some spray wax I didn't wipe off well)
Some picture are from last year but the car looks the same.picturesÂ
