Description:

1979 Pontiac Trans Am , this is a nice driver quality car not a show car. VIDEO OF ME DRIVING THE CAR at bottom of description . This is a real factory 6.6 L (403) K code Automatic . I drive the car everywhere it is very reliable .Has an awesome look and gets complements everywhere it goes , It has always been a southern car so there's no serious rust issues , Underside and rails are very solid small patches were put in spots in pans see photos . The stock motor was rebuilt according to the prior owner a few years back and has a lunati camshaft but otherwise stock . The car runs and drives excellent (Has alot of power for a 403) I will list the good and bad things with the car . It is NOT a show car but it's not far from it . I've got tons of money in this car . I will list an honest description and details and photos of the car , Feel free to ask any questions . here
The good : Car has brand new wheels and tires less than 200 miles on them ( Foose Legend 18x9 and 18x10 with Brand new BfGoodrich KDW tires staggered 275/40-18 rear and 255/35-18 up front . (2400$ just in wheels and tires)
New Battery , New Bluetooth head unit with satellite radio (sounds awesome) has 6.5 Jensen speakers hidden in the hatrack looks great . Also has new Autometer Ultralite 2 Gauges (160mph speedo) and tach and temp gauges set in the factory dash bezel (600$) looks great. Also has new windshield and the paint looks pretty good it could use some buffing has small dents and imperfections nothing major .I just had the 77' trans am style decals put on the car in blue , has the blue hood bird looks great . Has new exhaust system with polished stainless magnaflow mufflers. Car holds 40-60psi oil pressure driving and 25-30 at idle even in the heat , and never gets above 160 degrees even in traffic . Wipers and lights all work. The t tops barley leak only if you leave the car out during a down pour of rain .
The Bad : the front shocks may need replaced seems bouncy at times barley noticeable .
Previous owner made a homemade latch for the gas lid door , it works but it's not fancy lol. Looks ok .
The car has a tiny oil leak on the valve cover drivers side it doesn't lose oil between changes hardly I can I just smell it sometimes no big deal. Small exhaust leak on manifold doughnut gasket it's not bad i tighten it but over time it will leak again.
The brakes work great but do fade some during hard stopping may need bleeding .
The interior is ok for it's age , it was dyed in some spots to bring back the factory sky blue color and looks ok , small split in passenger seat and one split in the dash . Some of the plastic is chipping off on the inside again (barley noticeable)
The headliner looks ok but in my opinion it needs to be redone. The doorpanels are faded and seperating they will need replacing .I have the windshield and back glass moulding it needs to be put back on . The drivers mirror (the glass part) is broken 15$ from year one . The underside of car is pictured when I was having the exhaust put on . You can see where new pans were installed looks ok not perfect , the carpet looks ok but also needs replaced in my opinion it is just good driver quality . The trunk floor has a few pin holes also pictured easy fix . I also have the ac compressor and all factory air parts .
Like I said you could drive this car anywhere it looks and sounds awesome , With a little TLC it could be a big money car . Or just pop the tops out and enjoy it like it is . Im only selling because we just had our first Baby . I am listing the car at no reserve at a cheap starting price . I will help if you need to ship it but I will be paid first ..I am located in Vance Alabama , Dont hesitate to ask any questions or come check out the car message me to setup a time . The car is tagged and insured in my name in Alabama . I also already have the bill of sale needed for out of state buyers . Thanks and happy bidding .NEW VIDEO OF ME DRIVING THE CAR TODAY here
