This is a solid 1968 Firebird and the best part is - it's completely unmolested. This is a perfect car to build into a modern driver. This is grannies bird, a plain Jane Firebird which makes it a perfect car to mod out. I can see no goofing around on this car except a stereo job (we all did) still have factory radio. Car is not perfect, it looks like a 1980's Firebird that you would of bought used, all of the same issues. The trunk had a chunk of carpet that at some point was wet and the right side of the trunk floor is toast (see pics).The floor pans are great. The sub frame is great. There is an 11 softball dent in the RH quarter (pics). The rest of the car is very solid with the normal 47 years of wear and tear. This car features the killer 350, 2 BBL, power glide drive train. Has power steering, manual drum brakes and (was) a factory AC car. All of those make it extremely rare and hard to drive, but it drives and runs great. This car was forest green from the factory and someone in Texas decided it should be white??? Paint is not anywhere close to show quality, but this is going to be a driver, right? My idea was to put someones front and rear suspension in it, an LS with a 6 speed manual and Vintage Air then leave the paint as is and call it... (see pics). Seriously, this car needs to have someone put some work into it and build their dream. Why am I selling? My wife wants her garage spot back and one car has to go. I've decided to keep my street rod and abandon any thoughts of building a pro-tourer.
