Hey there! Thanks for checking out my car. I'm going to try and keep this short, if you have specific questions, please feel free to message me!!!
I have a 1976 Trans Am here in Vancouver Washington. I love this car. It's great. I've put a lot of work into this car and hate to see it go, but I'm a 20-something who just quit his job and I need some cash!!! I'm in way over my head trying to make this car perfect with the money I make lol.
Mechanically: This car is a beauty. She gets up and goes. 455 beast under the hood. Numbers do not match!!! I bought this baby as a roller and replaced the motor entirely. Have about 4, 500 miles on it now. If you are trying to fix this thing up and make it awesome, the hard part is done. The bad news is that I cracked the oil pan here on the way back Idaho... SO, even though she runs fine, that will need to be fixed, unless you feel like filling her up with oil as much as you do gas.
Aesthetically: Ok let me just tell you, I've spent countless hours and money on making this thing run great... I literally have not spent one penny on the enterior. The back seats have been pulled, the carpet needs to be pulled. The dash isn't hooked up. No Speed/RPM. Oil and Gas only. Not that they don't work... I just never hooked them up. The leather dask is cracked and needs replacing. (Sun damage) The driver side window regulator needs replacing. The driver side door panel needs replacing. The sound system is hooked up, it's very nice, but I'm taking my brand new speakers and sub with me for my other car. The paint is flat with NO clear coat. Flat black. There is a crack in the paint on the drivers door. The hood of the car does have clear coat on it as the bird on it was a custom paint job.
What else for now... There is a killer roll cage in this baby. Directly BEHIND the drivers seat is an emergency kill switch. (previous drag car - don't ask me why the emergency kill switch is there of all places) The Fuel pump is activated by switch under the car radio as are the fog lights. There are duel fuel lines hooked up to this thing. (NAS - no I don't have a can, no I've never run this motor with nitro, but it IS set up that way) Oh, no power steering pump for this baby.
I'll add to this post when I can think of more. Bottom line, guys and gals, this car is a work in progress. (As are all old custom cars lol) If you are looking for a classic car in perfect condition - this one is not for you. If you have a little bit of money, you might want to check this one out. Take this baby to the upholstery shop and spend 2-3k, throw some rims on this thing, throw some paint on this thing, fix the oil pan... And this is a seriously bad ass car. But that is what it's going to take.
Questions? I will check this often.
