1996 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. 3.8l V-6 with Y87 3800 performance package. Very nice condition inside and out considering it's age. Paint is shiny and looks good with some normal small (not really noticeable) scratches here and there (it is 19 years old!). Good tires. Tan Leather interior. Bought the car over 2 years ago with 123, 000 miles. Just turned 170, 000 miles all put on it driving 80 miles round trip to work every day. Mileage is going up every day. Car had a brand new AC system installed before I bought it, new tires 2 years ago, new water pump and serpentine belt installed last year, one new coil pack, new brakes and rotors last year, new battery 6/14/2015, just put all new plug wires on. No mechanical problems. Motor is very quiet. Will need a muffler (rusted through last winter). Vehicle does have a check engine light on since I bought it 50, 000 miles ago due to the evap system.
Y87 3800 V6 Performance Package: (The Y87 3800 V6 Performance Package upgraded the vehicle with Auburn limited slip differential (same differential used on V8 models), 11.4 single-piston caliper rear disc brakes (same rear brakes as V8 models), a dual outlet muffler, a quicker 14.4:1steering ratio (same ratio as V8 models), 235/55-16 tires. The Y87 package also gave automatic cars 3.42 rear gears).
