1974 Grand Am. If you are viewing this, you already know how rare these are. I inherited this car when my friend's family moved. It was bought new by a friend and was owned and driven in northern California, in the late 1980's the car was brought to Utah. It was not driven in Utah. When the owner moved to Washington he did not want to take the car, so he gave it to me with the pink slip and asked me to get it out of the way of the new owners of the home. If I recall correctly, this would have been in 2003 or 2004. I stored the car for a couple of years, then decided to get it running. The summer of 2008 or 2009 I got the car running but never really drove it. I never got it licensed and just used it to put around my small town. At the time, all I did was put in a new battery, some fresh fuel, and a brake master cylinder. I didn't want to go through the carburetor, so I put on an aftermarket intake (included) and a new Edelbrock carb (not included). The original intake and carb, along with all the emission parts are in the trunk. I only drove the car around a little bit during one summer, then I parked it. It has been sitting under a lean-to for the last several years and has had some exposure to the elements. I recently had to move it for a garage addition, and now I just want it gone. I don't have the time to take on another restoration project, so I'm selling it. I would like to sell the car as-is in its entirety, hopefully to someone who would restore it. If It doesn't sell, then I myself will part it out this spring when I have more time. Anyone who knows these cars knows the value in the parts is much higher than the car complete. Body seems to be straight except for the rubber front end, and there is a dent in the front passenger fender. There is a bit of surface rust on most of the car. All the glass is there with no cracks. The hood has rust along the front edge. Some of the trim is coming loose, and some is missing around the windows. Tires are complete junk, one has lost its tread cap. The wheels are the Honeycomb style and they are the 15 inch instead of the 14, and there is a Spare honeycomb in the trunk as well. Also have the original manuals and documents from when the car was purchased. Please refer to the photos for a better description. If you want other photos, please ask. The car is located in central Utah and the buyer will be responsible for pick up. I also may be willing to haul it on a trailer to you for $1.50 per mile depending on your location.
