Description:

If you’re looking for a Pontiac Grand Prix, you won’t find many in this condition, with these few miles. I’m the third owner, both prior were members of the national Grand Prix club. First owner was in Texas, 2nd in Oklahoma, and now Kansas so its likely never seen snow (it never has while I’ve had it). Body is in great condition, shows no signs of rust anywhere. I bought in 2011 with 50, 500 miles on it, it now has around 55, 000 Paint is in excellent condition, some very minor swirls from age and a couple tiny chips where the badges were on the doors. One bit of road rash underneath the passenger fog light (see picture). Mechanically everything is in good working order, from drivetrain to internally (window motors, sunroof, AC, etc. all working). Heads Up Display works great and is still bright. Mobil 1 synthetic oil changed annually (I only put on about 1k miles a year so just changed at spring start-up). Just had an oil analysis done by a friend and it was completely clear, no contaminants in the oil. New battery last year and new Delco fuel pump prior to that.
This car is MODIFIED! You don’t get a stock look, but also not a stock ride or sound. Exhaust has been modified from headers to a high flow downpipe with no catalytic converter (if your state has emissions testing you’ll need to address) to custom 3” piping, Hooker aerochamber mufflers and chrome exhaust tips. Exhaust has a really nice sound for a V6, definitely not quiet but not overwhelming. Note the headers have the EGR tube removed and that port is blocked off on the engine and code removed from the computer.
Car sits on beautiful 18” chrome Sport Edition KV5 rims and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Bought new when I got the car so they have around 5k miles on them total and still have significant tread. Also included are the stock wheels (polished torque star) with tires. Struts were replaced with KYB AGX adjustable, which also have less than 5k miles on them. Fully adjustable from near stock ride to more performance oriented.
The hood is an MPD F1 hood, fiberglass hood built on to a stock metal frame, so fitment is excellent. This was a $1000 hood new, unpainted. The grills are custom billet cut by a local machine shop (replacing the plastic grills that came with it). Front bumper grills were custom made to match.
On the engine, the stock supercharger was replaced by a Gen V from an 04+ Grand Prix, and the intake was machined and polished to match. Supercharger was polished by a local shop. It has higher ratio 1.9 rockers and 42.5# injectors from W-Body Store. As mentioned before it has The Other Guys (TOG) headers, as well as an LS1 Throttle Body, K&N cone intake in the fenderwell, and modular pulley system with 3.4” and 3.2” pulleys. This systems allows you to swap pullies with 5 allen bolts, no need to remove the hub. PCM was reprogrammed for the engine mods, that custom program is activated when in performance shift mode. ZZP transmission pan has cooling fins and also a drain plug which makes it much easier to change tranny fluid.
Inside the stock leather was replaced with Katzkins full leather, two tone with embroidered Pontiac logos. It’s a night and day difference from stock! (Note that as the heated seat element was built in to the stock leather, the heated driver's seat is no longer functional.) Its got an Alpine head unit, nothing fancy, and a custom mount with blue illuminated Grand Prix. The installed one is silver but I have a black one I’ll include if you want to switch from the silver radio & mount. PAC interface installed to retain steering wheel controls of the radio. Wheelskins steering wheel cover, and custom carbon fiber shift boot made by a friend of mine. Stock gauge cluster overlay was replaced with a blue one from partsforyourcar.com.
Inside it also has dual Aeroforce scan gauges (matching red display color & Pontiac logo at startup) that allow you to scan many parameters on the car, as well as read and clear trouble codes. The third gauge is a mechanical boost gauge which gives much better detail than the stock one.
Last it has Whelen strobes mounted in the headlight and corner lights. Whelen is the brand the pace cars use and these are bright. Not street legal, but great for getting noticed at shows. Its hard to capture them since they go fast, but it’ll give an idea of how they look.
