Up for auction is a real Barn Find 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible! This is a completely original 242, GTO convertible. Just the way it came from the factory. The car is PHS documented as a 400, 4 speed, 355 posi rear. Black on black.This is an estate sale. The car comes with a clear title. The car was found literally in a barn along with another GTO, a 400 ram air convertible and a 1946 Ford panel car. It was last registered in 1982. The original manifold and carburetor, are included. This car is just as it was when it came from the factory. Engine, transmission, rear end all matching. The vin# is visible on the front lower pass. side of the block. The block has a WT stamped in the top front of the pass. side. There is no damage on the car. The front clip (fenders, hood, radiator support, original radiator, and nose cone) is included just not shown. There is no rust on the fenders. The hood is in good shape also. The frame is solid with very little surface rust. The car has been removed from the barn and looked at top and bottom. The rear bumper is in good shape and only needs a re-chrome. There is a hole behind the rear wheel, drivers side, about the size of your fist, and a small hole over the pass. side rear quarter above the tail light about the size of your thumb. Other than that, not bad. Surface rust, but no damage. This is a very restorable car, not like the ones you find in fields with trees growing out of the engine compartment.The interior is good. The drivers seat having the most wear with some tears near where your left rear pocket would be. The trunk has a hole at the top near the fuel filler neck, but I cannot see any other holes, but I cannot get to all the little places. I can run thru the gears easily, so the tranny is shiftable.This car is being listed again due to a non paying bidder. Please, bid only if you plan on paying. Also, please, no Paypal. There are fees which the bidder would have to cover, and Paypal holds the money in escrow for 21 days. This delays money to the estate and would prevent the winning bidder from picking up the car until the money was finally transferred 21 days after the sale. Just way too inconvenient. A $2, 000.00 payment within 7 days is expected. Total payment within 2 weeks. I can store the car for a month at no charge, if necessary, but payment will still have to be made within the 2 week period. All money is in US dollars.This is one sweet car.
