1972 Pontiac lemans 455 Cu. In. Engine with a Turbo 350 Transmission. The car has had a lot of work done in the last Six months. All done by me personally. So I know every inch of this car.
The engine - runs cool and strong with good Oil Pressure and compression, and pulls hard. I just put in a new 160 degree thermostat, New Motor Mounts, exhaust manifold gasket. It does have an oil leak at the Timing Chain Cover, but what old GM doesn't... Fresh oil and filter, Cap, Rotor and 8.5mm Wires just done too.
The Transmission - Shifts smooth, no clunks. I just replaced all the seals and installed an electronic Sender for the new Digital Speedometer. It has a brand new Shift Cable, and is running a B&M Ratchet Shifter.
The Suspension - My intention was to Autocross this car. So it's New UMI Tubular Control Arms Front and Rear with Polyurethane bushings and a 1 Rear Sway Bar with New Eibach Springs Front and MOOG Rear. The Shocks are New KYB Adjustables. The car just had a Four Wheel Alignment on a state of the art machine.
Steering - New Close Ratio Z Box 10:1 Lock to Lock. Feels great. New Grant Steering Wheel too.
Brakes - Oversized Disk Brake Conversion with New High performance pads and New Rubber Lines.
Wheels and Tires - New 17 American Racing Torque Thrust II's with new Nitto Tires Front and General Grabbers Rear.
Interior - Mint Condition Original Seats, New Dash Pad, New Molded Carpet, and Brand New Door Panels all the way around. I replaced window regulator rollers where needed, and replaced the Front roller Cranks with new ones. I have all the original interior pieces.
Guages - Brand New Marshall Electric LED Backlit. These look Amazing! All new Senders installed as well. I used a New Painless Wiring Harness, so nothing is Hacked! All wired with proper connectors. The Speedo and Tach are not connected yet, just need to run 2 wires. Have all paperwork and connectors that came with them.
The Body - This is a Big One! All New Full Quarter Panels, not the cheap half panels. Extensive Metal Repair to the Drip Rails and Rear Window Channels. All Steel! I despise Bondo! For me, I'd rather have minor imperfections but have minimal filler. The areas that required filler such as to cut in the new quarter panels to the roof, were done with far superior Dura Glass, with only a skim coat of Bondo. The rear Deck panel was also replaced with New one. I have Patch Panels for the Lower Front Fenders when they're needed. The Floor was in excellent condition and only required a New Quarter Pan on the Passenger Footwell. Again, this was replaced with new Pressed steel from Jegs. I also replaced the Passenger Side Hood Hinge, so the hood sits nice and flush and operates smoothly.
The car is Wrapped in 3M 1080 Vinyl with a 10 year lifespan. The color is Matte Metallic Blue. It's Pretty Bad Ass. And yes, I have enough to do the Front Nose. It goes with the car.
Everything Works! Lights, Wipers, Signals, ect...
I have a folder full of receipts for everything done to the car.
I will be happy to help with loading the car when your shipper arrives, and can recommend a transporter I have used for Auto Ebay purchases I have made. He is very easy to deal with, and very fast.
I have many more pictures which I am happy to email to you; and I'm happy to present the car for inspection anytime, and encourage you to do so, as the sale will be final with no warrantees or guarantees. Please ask any and all questions before bidding, and if there is even the slightest possibility that you wont be able to follow through with the purchase, please do not bid! Be respectful of peoples time and money, this is not a game. Thank you.
