nice 66 gto rag clone project i got to restore. the body work guy didnt pan out on the first car we started of a planned 4 car restoration. too bad as we are doing a 70 judge clone, 2 65 rag bonnies and a 67 gto clone.So that makes this one a spare to sell or store for future work as these are really getting hard to find not toasted with rust.. I restore these, part buy, sell, drive, eat and sleep 66 67 gto's. I have had 60+ GM A-Bodies over the years, and couldnt pass this one by. I paid $4300 for it this spring from a local buddy.I am getting the 389 (non #rd matching to this car motor), 68 buckets and some interior stuff for my effort.. .As far as the sale. .. .. .. .. the frames got a lot of rot , i would replace it. a coupe can be boxed in with ames kit, or a 4 doors same too!. the floors solid but repairs were done with screws as shown, i would weld in metal. the pass rockers nice, drivers not real bad but will need patches as do the body mount brace areas. Those are not seen so not needing costly parts, just time welding up.done it a million times. I was going to have a detroit shop acid dip the whole body for @$500 and start fresh as these lemans dont need cloned to bring 25-35k. gto rags are 40-90K. just add a gto hood and grills and you are sporting a lemans GT (my personal tag) builders choice i say! parts are included are LEMANS hood, correct date coded GM rims a core 67 326 crossmember, drive shaft, both bumpers, whole body rear seat and sides, no front seats, ..it is a bucket seat car too!! dash and windshield are good , top frames excellent great header.rear pass qtr had work done from a slight hit as seen in trunk area and lack of lemans letters there.not tweeked just noting it. This was a 3 ON THE TREE!! manual steering, power top, car see the pedals?? now hows a 4 speed ragtop gto clone get you feeling??
