The good, the bad, the ugly. .
All original, almost 100% complete 1929 3 window coupe (Model 6-29), with trunk.
THE GOOD. . Solid rust-free car, optional steel wheels, and absolutely original interior in good condition. One picture shows the RF leaf spring area to show how clean the undercarriage is. It all looks that clean and intact underneath. Very cool roll-up windshield with crank handle (a/c)
THE BAD. . Dry-rotted tires but were brand spanking new before storage (in 1972), missing one original hub cap, missing spare tire clamps (all brackets are there), missing radiator cap an air cleaner (air horn from carburetor)... Engine turns over freely with good compression but has not been started in 40+ years, stayed lubricated and turned over periodically.
THE UGLY. . Engine Block (see pictures) is cracked. Most likely was aloud to freeze with water in the block. I am an ASE certified technician and have had 3 other experts look at it. The crack is in the main cast along water journals and all 3 other machine shop experts agree that it can be easily welded & repaired by a professional. It is not near any mechanical or moving parts.
Pontiacs from this era are rare and little information is found regarding sales history. To find one complete and being the more rare 3-window, you'll be the talk of the town. Buy it soon before someone else does. You won't see another for a long time. It's not just another Model A, this is a nice car.
