It appears that this car had been restored at some point in its past. It has been in storage since 2004 after the passing of the owner. This is a running driving car but I would suggest taking it to a shop and having it looked at throughly before that cross country road trip. I replaced the master cylinder and the fuel pump recently. I'm sure it could use new tires belts and hoses. It does appear that all the gauges are working in the cluster I can provide video if you like. There are no major oil leaks on this car. By that I mean this is a 62 year old car and there may be a small bit of oil that has leaked but you will not find any oil puddles or oil streams coming from this car. there is no caked on furry oil. And you say well you must have pressured washed it. My answer is I did not. It may have been pressured washed years ago but not in the last 10 years. Please ask questions and ask for videos and pictures you will be happy with this car. I could not get the heating cooling blowing motor to turn not to say it doesn't work just not sure how to make it function. Please ask questions before bidding.
This car is a beautiful example of the Pontiac Chieftain. With its strong running straight 8 and beautiful lines this car would make any collector proud. With just a little bit of work and detailing this car can bring you years of happiness. It has been stored indoors for the last 30 years like a treasured jewel. The paint and interior are in fantastic condition. It does appear to be kept original except the back seat material does not look consistent with the rest of the interior. The paint is showing some fading on the top and all over. There does not appear to be any major rust issues only some very small bubbles at the very bottom of the rocker panels. We invite any and all interested to please come check and hear the car run.
