1956 Pontiac Star Chief 2 Door Wagon, Ultra Rare Body Style! Same body as the Chevrolet Nomad. This vehicle was repainted many years ago in the original color combination of Avalon Blue and Nimbus Gray, original paint code KV. It is equipped with a numbers matching 316 ci engine and a 2bbl carburetor. I did not do the research as to what intake manifold and carburetor setup this engine came equipped with but Hagerty only shows this car to be equipped with with a 4bbl or TWO 4bbl carburetors. The cylinder heads are stamped with an X showing they were modified at the factory. It also has an Automatic transmission. The interior Style number 2764DF and trim number 278 show the car was equipped from the factory with Dark Blue Cloth and Genuine Light Blue Leather seating, but it was recovered at some point in time.
This is an original car with an older repaint, it has been protected from the weather and cared for but shows its age. It runs and drives as a 59 year old car should. I have driven the car on the highway and around town and to local car shows.
This vehicle was equipped from the factory with the following options, Under Seat Heater, Latex Foam Cushions, EZ Eye Tinted Glass and Genuine Leather Interior!
