Description:

Here is my version of a 1971 Pontiac T-37 455 HO car. The history as I know it. 10+ years ago the Glasco brothers (Pontiac experts) found this car and proceeded to make their version of a T-37 to race in the FAST class. They even had a feature in May/June 2004 of Pontiac Enthusiast magazine. They sold the car to Dan Jensen of Pure Stock Muscle Drags fame, he did his thing with the car, changing from Rally II's to body colored painted steel wheels and no stripes. Dan enjoyed the car and sold to me last year minus the engine, which I had my own ready to have built. My version mimics Dan's low mile '71 T-37 455 HO 1 of 4 made, so finding a real one isn't easy or cheap. So here's the next best thing, low mile, dry western car, all original sheet metal, fresh 455 HO, I have maybe 300 - 400 miles on. I replaced the some of the race only items to make the car street friendly and more for driving than racing. I added the missing rear sway bar, does have boxed rear control arms, and 12 bolt 3.73 rear end. All bushings and ball joints have been replaced prior to my purchase. I also added a new power steering box and pump to eliminate the manual steering. The radio had been gutted for weight (I guess it all adds up), I replaced that with a complete original radio. I added a good set of gas shocks and removed the worn out race shocks, so the car could be used at the track for Pure Stocks or driven anywhere. Everything else works on the car. Factory in dash tach and gauges. The engine I started with is a YH code '70 455, 1971 197 round port heads, and '71 matching intake, new reproduction exhaust manifolds with bigger dumps. Mandrel bent exhaust. The car has just the right note without being to loud. The engine is all new on the inside and runs great. The engine was professional rebuilt by Pierce Engineering in Lansing Mi. See dyno sheet. The transmission is also fresh rebuilt.
The car runs and drives great. Starts easy. I will just end up storing it more and have made a decision to get out of owning or collecting cars. I have spent my whole life collecting, restoring, showing etc.
Clear title in my name. I restore classic cars for my profession and know them well, I am selling my personal collection and I only buy clean low mile cars, that don't need much work because I simply do not have the time to work on them. The car is sold as is and where is. The buyer is responsible for any and all shipping costs. I will be available if a trucking company is needed. The car will need to be picked up in a reasonable about of time. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. Thanks and Good Luck Bidding
