Pontiac Trans Am (1979)
for sale
Price: US $0.99
Price: US $0.99
This Pontiac Trans Am for sale has gone through a lot of
overhaul this past year. I purchased this vehicle a year ago from someone
selling it locally. Before I purchased the vehicle I was told that it had sat
for the past 12 years. This vehicle had bad suspension, a leaking exhaust
manifold, and a rough looking interior. This car is now almost perfect with
only minor details stopping it from being a solid 100%.
This is a numbers matching car with the original build sheet
included. The reason I am selling this vehicle is because I’m moving overseas
and it doesn’t make sense for me to keep it here in the U.S. The reserve is set
at $10, 000.00 and although I do not provide shipping I can help the buyer with
any arrangements for pickup.
-New rear leaf springs and rear shocks (Pro-Touring F-body)
-New front shocks and springs (Not installed, but pictured
and included, also Pro-Touring F-body)
-New Hooker Super Comp headers
-New Pypes exhaust with “street pro” mufflers
-New starter
-New dipstick
-New windshield
-New windshield trim
-New radio with mp3/auxiliary hook-up
-New dash speaker
-New rear speakers
-New door panels
-New headliner
-New armrests
-New center console cover
-New tires
-New aluminum radiator
-New thermostat
-New brake booster
-New carburetor
-New battery
-New window motors
-New window controls
-Recent oil change
-Rear end flush
-Transmission flush
-Engine block flush
Items worth noting:
This car is equipped with power locks, however the switches
were left out of the door panels for a clean look. Switches are included if the
new owner wishes to install them.
This car has factory A/C, but the A/C is not currently
functioning
There is a sound from the brake pedal when it is pressed all
the way to the floor as if there were a vacuum leak. The local brake shop
checked it out and I was told that this sometimes happens in older vehicles.
The brake booster was replaced for good measure and the noise continues, but
the brakes still work just as they always have.
There are minor dents and paint flaws when viewing the
vehicle up close, along with some interior panel cracking on the dash and rear
passenger panel (all are pictured).
All of these things are minor and easy fixes and this car is
easily a few minor fixes away from being a $30, 000 show vehicle. I have
personally invested $10, 000 in parts and labor and I would not consider selling
it if I would not be moving overseas.
This beautiful Trans Am starts right up every time and this
vehicle is reliable enough to be a daily driver if you’d want it to be. As
stated this is a clean numbers matching example of what a muscle car should be.
I still have many of the original interior parts that are all included in the
sale. If you have any questions feel free to message me and thanks for looking!
