Up for sale is an 2001 Convertible T/A in Blue / Green Chameleon (Also known as Mystic Teal). It is only 1 of 11 Convertible T/A's built in 2001 in this color. This was the last year this color was offered and second to the last year of Firebird production. Only 89 T/A Convertibles were produced in this color during the entire LS1 run (1998-2002). 2001 was the lowest count of 11 during these years as well. This makes this one of the rarest colors available in Trans Am's.
The car it self is stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. The Paint is above average for its year and has always been garage kept. There are a few small imperfections from use but still absolutely stunning to look at. I would rate the paint a (9 out of 10). This car is accident free and shows a clean carfax with 2 owners.
The top is Brand new professionally installed with the Glass defroster. I would rate the top a (10 out of 10).
Transmission is an Automatic. It shifts smooth and quiet with absolutely no issues.
The interior is next to perfect. Everything works as it should. All switches, knobs, etc, function and light up like new. The window regulators were replaced a few years ago due to the originals moving slow. The dash and door panels are uncracked and beautiful. The door panels were removed and reinforced in the usual weak spots to prevent any cracking in the future. I would rate it a (9.5 out of 10).
Tires and rims are in excellent condition. Tires have about 75-80% wear left and the rims are bright with no curb rash or dents.
The motor is excellent. The previous owner bought the car at 38K and was certified by GM. He soon noticed the motor had a tick. The GM dealer replaced the motor with a new LS1 under this program. Receipts are included to show engine change by a certified GM dealer. So yes this motor only has 10k mi on it. Barely broke in. It runs like a dream with absolutely no check engine or warning lights of any kind. I would rate the motor a (10 out of 10).
This car is located just north of Tampa, Fl and available for inspection by any potential buyer by appointment. Please no dreamers or tire kickers. This is a serious collectors item and fans of these cars know what they are looking at.
