Rare 1972 Pontiac Trans am for sale. 1 of 826 automatics produced in 1972. This car is one of the highest option 72 Trans am you will see. It was restored in the mid 1990's. At the time the car received no GM quarter panels and fenders. The engine is correct except for the block which is a YG 455 block. The engine was balanced and blueprinted. It retains it's correct heads, carb, intake and exhaust manifolds. The air conditioning needs to be hooked up and the hood scoop is not functional at this time. The tach is also not working. Beside easily correctable things, the car is in very good condition. Most parts used in the restoration are original GM parts. The stripe kit came from Stencils and Stripes. I rarely used the car and has been garage kept. This is a rare opportunity to own a part of Pontiac history. This is not a tribute car, this is the real deal. I have the PHS documentation. The care came with the deluxe blue interior. The headliner and carpeting or new. The car has PS, PB, Tilt Steering column, PW and many other features listed in the build sheet. The car originally had a unitized distributor but was changed out to a newer pointless one before I received the car. The car was last inspected in 2010 and has been garaged since then.
