THIS IS A TRUE NO RESERVE. DON'T LOSE THIS ONE! I have owned this vehicle for over 5 years and have spent over
70k on restoring
this vehicle. Receipts with vehicle are pictured below. This car is fantastic AND VERY FAST. Since I have owned the vehicle it has never been driven in the rain and stays in a dehumidified garage. It is a very hard to find 80s 911 with the very desirable Porsche varioram 993 Motor (1996) . The engine is from Instant G. It has about 2000 miles on the motor since installation. What needs work? The windshield wiper fluid system was removed (the car is only driven on perfect days) the car has a heat exchanger but no heat (live in Houston not necessary to connect; I had originally gone with straight headers without a heat exchanger but changed back to the originals, sounds better) . Idles a little high, to get it perfect needs a dyno tune (tuning the chip). AC blows very cold (upgrade see below) at 4 speeds but the AC mix with heat does not work (because not hooked to heat exchanger), a tiny crack on the fin shown on picture with a very few chips in paint (paint is beautiful), and the speedometer mileage does not work, speed does (easy fix but did not get to it). Please be aware that the previous owner added the 930 metal rear wheel flares which were welded on. Please call with any questions 713-569-7711. I am selling the vehicle because I am getting ready to move to a home with a smaller garage, otherwise I would not let it go.
I just finish one last service for $6600 last week not listed below. It included a new transmission bearing seal, fixed some cosmetic wiring, installed a new clutch cable, installed a new throttle a cable from Patrick Motorsports, replaced the transmissions 1st and 2nd gear syncros , bands, rings, new clutch fluid, and new engine oil. I also installed a new idle control valve during this service. The transmission is a Porsche 915.
In addition, this car has twin oil coolers one under each fender each with an electric fan that are thermostatically controlled. The oil lines are finned from Elephant Racing for better cooling (seen in pictures). The 993 3.6 runs much stronger than a standard 3.2. The varioram 3.6 is the top of food chain for air cooled Porsche motors. Please check out their website for more details. Instant-g.com
The prices for the 3.6 Variorams have gone up since I installed the motor On Ebay the engine alone goes for $13000 to $33000. I replaced the engine with a 1996 993 Vario Ram motor from Instant G in 2015. $14000. Serial number 64T51072 .
Ebay does not allow video links any longer, so I could not add the video link on this listing but I can email it to you if interested.
If you would like to see the vehicle before bidding, just call me to make arrangements.
