In today's market, chrome bumper 911's are selling at prices well into six figures. A fully restored original spec 911 T will sell for over $100, 000. This 911 T is an incredible bargain. It allows someone who doesn't have a six figure budget to get into one of these cars.
This is a 1972 911 T that is a perfect candidate for restoration. It runs and drives, and can be enjoyed. Generally a restoration project is a car that is not drivable. This is not the case with this car. The body is straight and rust free. It had been re-painted several years ago, however it is in need of a repaint once again. The bodylines are straight and once redone, it will be beautiful.
These cars have a stainless Targa bar. The Targa bar is in excellent condition. The Targa top itself is in excellent condition. Both the exterior and interior of it are in exceptional condition. The bar and top do not need to be touched.
The interior is in excellent condition. While not perfect, it is presentable. If someone were to do a complete restoration, they would want to address the interior. However, it is not in immediate need. All of the gauges are clear with no fogginess and all of them work.
This 911 has had many upgrades. Its drivability is excellent. Amongst the upgrades are:
· 2.7 Liter CIS Fuel Injected engine
· 915 5 speed Transmission
· Weltmeister sway bar -Front
· 911 SC Front Suspension and Struts
· 911 S Alloy Front calipers
· H-4 Headlight Upgrades
· 911 SC Front Aluminum Cross Member
· 911 SC Steering wheel
Due to these upgrades, the engine runs smoothly and has exceptional drivability. The 915 gearbox is much easier to shift than the standard gearbox. The clutch, brakes, and tires are all in excellent condition. In addition there is no known rust under this 911 T.
Generally at Pedigree, we offer Porsches that are completely original and are turn key. We want the buyer of this car to understand, this is a restoration project, but it’s a restoration project that can be driven and enjoyed. While a concours 911 T is approaching six figures in their values, this one is a being offered for sale at a fraction of that. It allows someone to buy an early 911 on a budget.
