For the 1974 model year, porsche continued the 1973
carrera rs essentially unchanged, but built into the 1974
'impact-bumper'bodyshell and simply badged carrera.
The new model 1974 carrera retained the 1973 RS 2.7 litre 210bhp
mechanically fuel injected engine and gearbox.
The only
significant mechanical difference was the layout of the front anti-roll
bar, Otherwise the changes were simply the obvious exterior cosmetic ones, plus a
more practical, relatively luxurious, interior trim level.
This particurlar early matching numbers LHD 911
carrera MFI example was delivered in 1973 to mitsuwa motors, the official
porsche dealer in Japan.
It's a classic non sunroof-coupe, with striking
mostly original silver exterior paintwork, black original trim, original tool
kit, matching numbers and original MFI pump.
This excellent example of an early 911 2.7 MFI
carrera lived in the famous Japanese matsuda collection for many years
maintaining all its originality. It's definitely a survivor.
With 1973RS models averaging 1.2 million aus dollars
these are the next best suburb with huge growth to come following the uprise
values of the 1973 rs models.
Car is located in Australia.
