I am the third owner of this well documented 2002 Porsche 911 (996) Cabriolet, 6-Speed manual transmission. It has been garage kept in my 5 years of ownership. I am a Porsche Club of America (PCA) member, and take the ultimate pride in maintaining my Porsche to the highest standards. I have receipts and documentation of service records since new. No need to wonder about what has been done and how this car has been maintained.
Significant changes happened in 2002 to the 911. The style of the headlight cluster changed to differentiate itself from the Boxster, the convertible received a glass rear window, you got a glove box, and the engine got an upgrade from 3.4 liters to 3.6 liters with an additional 20 horsepower for a total of 320. This car has the upgraded 18” aluminum wheels with colored Porsche crest, PSM (Porsche Stability Management), heated seats, power driver and passenger seats with driver seat memory, body color painted center console, clear side markers, Porsche crest in headrest, and windscreen for when the convertible top is down.
This vehicle is all stock. The only performance upgrade I have done to it is adding a B&M short throw shifter. New front, Porsche OEM, brakes have less than 700 miles on them. New front brake sensors and a brake fluid flush done at the time of installation. Oil change done 1000 miles ago. The rear tires have 5400 miles on them. Front tires will need replacement soon. Both hydraulic rams for the convertible top were rebuilt in April 2014. All spark plugs and ignition coils replaced less than 4, 000 miles ago. This car also has a newer water pump, coolant reservoir, and serpentine belt. As you can see, maintenance of many items that will have to be done with cars this age have already been done for you.
