The 1976 Porsche 912E is unique in that it was built over one year only, (1975-1976). Produced as a stop-gap Porsche, it became popular due to combining the chassis design of the Porsche 911S, with a newly engineered four-cylinder air-cooled engine. Some might say, ‘the best of both worlds’.
There were only 2092 ever built, that fact, and its other features have helped make it a very desirable collectible four-cylinder Porsche. This car is number 169 of 2092.
Expect some wear and tear, this 912E has been driven and is now in need of restoration. It is being sold AS IS. It was a ‘daily driver.’

The engine is currently out as it needs a new cylinder head on the passenger side.
Engine number: EA 025 123.
Several spots of surface rust.
Interior is very clean except for the driver's seat upholstery, which is split.
Chassis exterior needs a new paint job.
Dashboard has two, three-four inch cracks, and two, one-and-a-half inch cracks.
Window seals need to be replaced.
Front left tire is the spare and needs a new rim.
It comes with the original owner’s manual, six workshop manuals, (original 912E and reprint 912E and 911 manuals. The 912E repair manual only describes repair information that differs from the 911), a box of original parts (previous owner made some changes) and a folder of maintenance records.
The mileage is 110, 288, and it has had three owners since 1976. Stored in a garage, door wells are clean, no dents, no rot, no rust in floor pans. Light surface oxidation around the accelerator. Headlights, tail-lights, bumper, underside and the windscreens and windows are all in good condition.
