Description:
This was my deceased husband's track car. It is street legal. My husband loved this car. It has been sitting in my garage since he passed in 2010. He was in the process of starting body work when he passed.
In 2013, I towed it to the mechanic (I was afraid to drive it after fishtailing). The mechanic gave me the following descriptives:
-1973 Porsche 914 conversion
-Chevy 350 stroker with rebuilt Porsche 930 Transmission
-High rise intake with holly carb 750
-Electric fuel pump
-MSD ignition system
-Borla exhaust
-Slotted disc brakes with dual piston caliper
-New Fisk rims & new tires
-Porsche 930 transmission
-All braided lines
-racing seat w/3 point harness
-new brakes
-461 miles
-roll cage
I know that the rims alone cost $6k and that much love and care went into getting this beast track ready. The personalized plate on the car reads 5POINT8. I believe this refers to the engine size.
The mechanic said he had many people stopping in to see the car when it was at his shop. I wasn't ready to part with it then. It is certainly a head-turner (and very loud).

| “This was my husband's favorite toy when he passed in 2010. It needs body work/paint. There was a fuel leak at the fuel pump when I took it to the mechanic in 2013, but that was fixed. It has been sitting for years so the battery is probably dead. It is missing a plastic cap (see picture #8). I'm happy to take and send more pictures if there is something specific you'd like to see. The mechanic is available to answer questions of serious buyers only. I am not a car person and have only driven this car once for about 10 minutes; I fishtailed when I first tried to drive it to the mechanic so I drove it back home.” |
