I am selling my 1972 Porsche 914 which has been set up for track racing.The car is very rust free, but there is minimal rust noted in the battery area. Currently, there is no battery tray, but one is included with the car.
The car has a mid 1990's Lexus V6 installed correctly. The engine is rated at 225 hp at 6000 rpms.
This is a much desired and rare conversion because the motor increases the horsepower 3 times but maintains the weight balance and center of gravity. Much better than the small block Chevy conversion.
No it does not drive. The included wiring harness for the engine needs plugged in and the front end tie rod needs hooked up. There is an extra front end assembly to go with the car. There is work to be done to get it on the track or the road. If you have been looking for a 914 to race but can only find over priced rusty buckets, this is for you. The engine is already in and the car is stripped so you know there is no rust. There are also lots of auxiliary parts and things from the Lexus for the engine.
The body has been stripped of most of the materials to lighten the load. But, I also have laying around in boxes about 90% of the original parts for the car, if you want to convert back to a street/road car/racer or just sell all the stuff to make some good profit. You get the lot with the car.
This is a California car and the last date of registration was 1993, so the car has been off the road for 23 years. The title has been lost, but can be recovered at the California DMV.

I bought this gem just before all this happened with high hopes of racing. Not going to happen now... I would like this moved on to someone who has some desire to get up and go!
This package as it sits is worth about $3k to $5k. I have set the reserve way below these numbers, just trying to get back some of my investment.
