Porsche 928 (1989)
for sale
Price: US $16,000.00
Price: US $16,000.00
Up for sale is my red 1989 Porsche 928 S4 with 42, 550 miles.
I have owned this car for the last 4 years. It has been meticulously taken care
of. Everything on the car works and drives as it should except for the A/C.
Under my ownership the car has always been garage kept and never seen snow and
only occasionally has seen rain. The car has always been maintained at Golz
Motors in Deerfield Il. Golz is a high-end foreign car repair shop. If you
would like to talk to them about the car let me know and I can give you their
phone number or you can google their number. Jeff would be the person to speak
to. When I bought the car in March 2011 there were a handful of things that did
not work which I had repaired. I also had all the fluids changed and have consistently
done that over the years. When I bought the car it had just turned 40, 000 miles
so I have put 2, 500 miles on the car since I have owned it. I have all receipts
from Golz for all work done to the car. Those would be included in the sale
along with a binder of other information I have on the car. If you’d like I can
also fax those receipts to you. The car has a clean car fax. The car has no rust, dings or dents. The red paint shines very nicely. The
car drives with no issues and easily gets to and cruises at 80 mph. The
original Porsche radio was replaced with a high-end stereo system (I have the
receipt) but I have the original Porsche radio and it is included with the car.
I have the two original keys plus the owner’s manuals and plastic storage case.
I have the cargo net in the trunk and my wife made a custom luggage shade that
acts and looks like the original. Included are 2 coco floor mats up front. The
dash, all 4 seats and the rest of the interior look like new. No cracks or any
type of damage to the dash or seats. On a regular basis I clean and condition
the leather and plastic with Lexol products. The windshield has no cracks or
chips. All instruments, gauges, electric windows, sunroof, cruise control, lights, horn, wipers, sprays, alarm, 8 way adjustments on seats, seat memory, popup
headlights, fog lamps, fans, heat, glove box light, power mirrors, power door
locks, interior lights, electric hatch release etc. work. The A/C was converted
to R134 and I have a receipt for that. The A/C stopped blowing cold for me in
the spring of 2014. Based on receipts I have it looks like the A/C had been
recharged every couple of years. All 4 wheels are immaculate with no curb rash
and the car has 4 summer tires with lots of tread left. I have the spare tire, inflator, jack, and all tools. This car needs nothing other than the A/C looked
at.
Here is a list of everything that I have done mechanically
to the car over the last 4 years and some things of importance that were done
to the car before I bought it. Everything listed has a receipt and all receipts
will accompany the car.

odometer reading was 40, 010 miles before it was replaced. The new odometer now
reads roughly 2550 miles indicating the car has roughly 42, 550 miles as of
April 18th. If you’d
like to call Golz Motors they can confirm this. A Carfax report can also
confirm that when I bought the car in March 2011 shortly before the odometer
was replaced it had roughly 40, 000 miles. I can fax the Golz document to you if
you like.
March 25, 2011 (40, 003 miles) – Change oil and filter, Flush

service.
I have other maintenance documentation and receipts. Most
notably some oil changes done June 25, 1998 (17, 774 miles), August 27, 1996
(15, 269 miles), June 1, 1993 (11, 539 miles), July 18, 1990 (2, 000 miles)
I have always kept the car very clean and avoided driving it
in bad weather. You can see that since I bought the car in March 2011 the car
has been meticulously cared for in terms of repairs and routine maintenance. When
parked anywhere it was always parked away from other cars so that no door dings
were acquired. It was always parked in my garage and stored from roughly
December 1st through mid March. When stored over the winter the car was
covered, the battery was always on a battery tender and a gas stabilizer was
added. I was the only one to drive this car other than my son a handful of times
when I was with him riding as a passenger. The car was never smoked or eaten
in.
If you are local and want to see and drive the car you are
more than welcome to. If you would like to send a car inspector to look at and
drive the car for you, you are welcome to do that too. Just let me know if you
would like to do either. If you have any other questions or want more pictures please
ask.
Car is sold as is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for
pickup and/or shipment of the car. A $500 deposit to Paypal is required within
24 hours of auction end from winning bidder.
