I am happy to discuss the car at length with potential buyers. Please send me a message for my phone number!
For sale is a 1990 Porsche 944 S2. Only 449 S2's were imported into the US in 1990, from a total production run of 3321 in the world. The S2 has 4-piston Brembo calipers on all 4 corners of the car and uses the larger rotors found on the Turbo cars. The S2 also received the rounded front nose of the Turbo cars and improved handling.
This car has a 5.7L LS1 v8 from a 2001 Firebird installed in it. You have probably seen almost finished swap cars that just need a few things. This car is DONE. Everything works! Cold A/C, heat that will melt your socks off. All instruments work correctly, no strange dash lights, no confusing problems. Hop in and start it up! This is a beautiful car that gets attention wherever it goes. A million times more unique and classy than a Corvette, but with all the power and reliability.
I have driven the car in autocross and DE events on occasion, but the car is not a track rat. It has served daily driver duties and been a weekend car since I've owned it. This car is ready for whatever you'd like to do with it. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country or enter it in a race.
Notes:
During my pre-sale inspection I noticed that the right rear tire is worn unevenly and will need to be replaced fairly soon. I suspect that the alignment may need to be touched up on that corner, but the rest of the car is dead-on.
Also, the car is tuned to run at 7200ft of elevation and I strongly recommend having it re-tuned when it reaches its new home (as I would recommend that any modified engine be re-tuned at a new elevation). If you need help locating a good tuner in your area, I'd be happy to assist.
Here is a complete listing of everything that has been done to the car:

Stock 4-piston Brembo brakes. Front rotors are drilled, rears are drilled/slotted. Pads all have ~75% life in them. Manual proportioning valve installed. ABS present but disabled (due to tire size differences).
Odometer shows 200k+ miles. I have no reason to doubt this is accurate, but the car itself does not show it, and just about every wear item has been replaced!
MOMO Steering wheel (air bags disabled due to lack of driver-side airbag)
This is a 25 year old car, and to my knowledge the paint is original. This car has been garaged during the past 5 years and the paint still has plenty of shine to it. The chassis lived in California and Texas prior to NM and there is no rust anywhere that I have found.
The front bumper, front valence, and hood have all suffered from quite a few rock chips over the years and should probably be repainted or covered if you are planning to make this a show car. There are a few dents (mostly on the hood) that i'll document in the pictures. The paint on the back half of the car is in excellent condition with very few chips. Overall the cars looks excellent from a foot away and the car looks very good for its age. I would consider it a driver that can be polished up for the weekend. I have never seen any evidence of body work and the car has a clean CarFax. Interior Uncracked Dash!
Eclipse CD/MP3 player
Kenwood front speakers/Infinity rear speakers
Most of interior upgraded to LED's
Brey-Krause fire extinguisher mount
High quality Turbo script floor mats
Custom Interior Color: Black/Burgundy leather interior. This car originally came with a linen white interior that was in okay condition. I had a wrecked 951 with a Burgundy leather interior that was in perfect condition, so I moved most of it into this car. The color combination found on this car was never a production option.
The interior is in very good shape overall. The dash, door cards, center console, carpet, floor mats, trunk mat, etc. are all in very good shape as the pictures show. I would rate them significantly above average for a car this age. The photos tell the whole story. The biggest exception to this is the driver's seat. The leather on the outer bolster is worn, and there are a few scratches on the seat bottom. Miscellaneous Mustang HydroBoost brake master cylinder - most swaps will use a manual master cylinder because a vacuum booster doesn't fit...this will put your face into the windshield! ;-) TurnOne Power Steering Pump - brand new power steering pump specifically designed for the 944 system + hydroboost. Includes custom pulley. Steering feels extremely precise.
Constantine's Torque Tube Bearings - Torque tube completely rebuilt with new heavy-duty bearings. $680 kit!
Custom short shifter (both on the transaxle and under the driver's hand) with custom knob and leather boot
3 month old Deka ETX30L battery (lightweight, AGM-style battery) - Excellent cranking power, ~30lbs lighter than stock
Ford Taurus cooling fan (much more efficient than stock fans)
Terms & Conditions:
Car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. I do believe the car is in excellent shape with the exception being in the notes above.
Spare Parts:
I have quite a collection of things to include with the car. Briefly: original batwing, all relays, good LS1 alternator, original radiator fans, spare S2 radiator (used, good), spare belt, window motors, blower motor and fans, 2x spare rear axles, and a lot of other stuff I can't think of right now!
About Me:
I have worked at several performance shops in the Albuquerque, NM area. I have performed late-model engine swaps into a number of older cars prior to building this car. This is my personal vehicle and all work was completed with the intent that anyone could diagnose and repair the car.
