1992 Carrara 4 Targa.. 130k miles and has just undergone a major engine out service that included a new clutch, valves adjusted, all belts, fluids, etc... Excellent compression on all cylinders, 1/160 2/165 3/160 4/170 5/165 6/160 and does not burn oil. Runs out perfectly and completely sorted. There were only 221 Targas produced in 1992 for the north american market! This Targa is so well kept that Porsche borrowed this very car to create the 991 Salute, shot at the Laguna Seca in 2012.. The previous Northern California owner had the car from 1993 until I purchased it a few years ago. He was extremely meticulous, and very much the person you would want to buy a Porsche from.. This is my tenth Porsche so I know these cars well.. There are a number of tasteful performance upgrades, while maintaining a completely stock appearance: Sway bars, M030 springs, Borla Exhaust, Performance Chip, Eastover Aluminum Intake, Drilled rotors, Fabspeed Test pipe (cat included), New Bilstein HD F struts, Konis R., and more. Very quick and handles fantastically. Never tracked..The Targa top was completely restored and shows like new with no leaks. It does not have a single rock chip or dent, with 3m bra on the front and mirrors. Interior shows almost as new, including the drivers seat bolster which doesn't have any wear to speak of. Cup 2 wheels are very clean, with good all weather tires.. Dash cover on since new. Nicely optioned. Records. 964s have been steadily gaining in value for a number of reasons. Arguably the best aircooled Porsches ever produced. The 964 Targa has become quite the sought after car.. And a Targa, C4, with 5 speed is by far the rarest combination.
