The 944 S2 was the last and the best of the front engine 944 line, which began as far back as 1982 replacing the 924. The 944 was initially powered by 2.5 litre eight valve engine developing 163bhp, but when the S2 came in 1989 it had acquired the 3.0L 16 valve engine generating 211bhp and 207 lb-ft of torque. Offering great acceleration and maximum speed just short of the 911.
The 944 S2 had a smoother front end creating a more modern look and remained on sale until 1992, when it was replaced by the 968. This 944 S2 is a 3 owner vehicle which has been garaged in Indianapolis since 2008. In Guards Red, this car is painted in proper Porsche colors and has been very well preserved. Total production numbers for the 944 S2 are shown below. When you realize how few 944 S2 Cabrio’s were brought to the US/Canadian market place, you’ll realize very will come up on the open market and even fewer in this condition with as low of miles. A total of 2, 386 S2 Cabrio’s made their way to the North American shores from 1989-1991 over the three year period.

The current owner recently acquired the vehicle and as an enthusiast with many cars, has decided to sell this gorgeous vehicle on consignment. We performed a full inspection on the vehicle and changed the following items: oil anf filter, changed the power steering fluid, new rear output shaft seals, recharged a/c, new front brake rotors and pads and sensor, and performed a full exterior, interior and engine detail including paint correction. The convertible top shows no signs of wear and the body is very dry and clean.
This prisine vehicle comes with 2 keys, all original owners manuals, original window sticker, bbs wheel locks and tool, tonneau cover, original oem bra and mirror covers, convertible top keys, Porsche tire kit, original spare and jack, original roll up tool kit, spare fuses and bulb, original option sticker on rear panel, radio codes, various original documents mailed to original owner from Porsche, and original leather Porsche crested pouch new in sealed bag.
This S2 is in excellent condition and comes with nearly every original document from new.

Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of close of auction. The remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) is due within 5 days of close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
