Up for auction is a 1987 Renault (Alliance) GTA 2.0L made by AMC in the USA. (1987 is the only year these cars were built) If you're looking at this you probably know all about it. This vehicle is in very good condition, rust free with no modifications. I owned the car for the last 5 years and have invested an enormous amount of money and time into it. It currently sits in my garage and realized I do not get to drive it enough to justify holding on to it anymore. (I do start it up and drive it around the neighborhood about twice a month to make sure battery stays charged and tires don't develop flat spots.) I will list everything that I remember I have replaced in the last few years, and describe to the best of my knowledge what I know about the car. Mechanically engine starts and runs good and transmission shifts fine. Other than basic spark plugs, wires and rotor, I have not done anything to it. I did purchase a new timing belt and tensioner, that I have not installed yet. Suspension has got all new struts (KYB) all around, new inner and outer tie rod ends and new rear wheels bearings. Brake calipers were rebuilt in the front and a new master cylinder was installed. Miles are unknown since the speedometer is not working. I had installed a new cable but it must have popped out because it quit immediately after. One hub cap missing.
Body was completely straightened and repainted professionally. Everything (trim, moldings, handles...etc) was removed and reinstalled after the paint job was completed. Body is as straight as it can be. However there are few issues as seen in pictures, as follows: Bumper repairs ( attempt to straighten the typical waving) failed and it started to crack. Those need to be redone at some point. Also It appears back in the day, left fender was replaced and painted with lacquer paint. Because of that, it reacted with the new paint and in a couple small spots, created some kind of shrinking. see photos. Mirrors, third brake light and complete body kit was also painted and are in excellent condition. The windshield surround area is all original and was left undone. Minimal surface rust in various places. Glass is in very good all around and all original. All 4 side windows are powered and work, however 3 of them will need some attention (i.e. lube, greasing)and the 4th one (LR is missing the regulator. Rubber is generally in good condition, but as you see in pictures, all belt moldings have cracks in them.
Electrical is all in good working condition, all switches, lights, wipers, fans work as they should. Fog lights do not appear original and they are not even hooked up. Brand new OEM license plate lights.
Interior has a new carpet; dash and door panels are in excellent shape. Seats have minor seam separation (see pictures) and some handles and bezels are either broken or missing. Seat belts all work. All locks work good. Stereo in not original and it's not even hooked up. Speakers are missing also.
Brand new convertible top installed 2 years ago. Power top works good. i would include more pictures, but eBay won't let me more than 24. Please email if you need more.
Brand new tires with less than 200 miles on them, along with wheel alignment.
Vehicle is currently licensed and tabbed until August 2016. Selling as is, No warranty of any kind.
