1958 Renault Dauphine Gasser , started its life as an 8 HP French version of the VW Beetle. Now it is an awesome , wild little ride. Extensive custom work from front to back , Custom 2x4 chassis, Triangulated 4 link air ride rear suspension , 91 Camaro 10 in rear end narrowed 26 custom Moser axles, 46 Chevy 1/2 ton I beam front axle narrowed 6 , reversed Corvair steering box , GM Goodwrench 292 inline 6 W/ extensive head work ( port matched, lump ported, SS Z 28 valves 194 intakes & 160 exh. Z 28 springs BBC screw in 7/16 rocker studs & rockers ) Offy water heated 4bbl intake , Edelbrock 600 carb, one off fenderwell zoomie header.New Wiring harness, air compressor, air ride controls, even custom air reservor that looks like NOS tank.Ratty looking Cragars up fronr reversed Gm 12 x 15 factory wheels W/ N 50 Kelly Chargers on back. Killer stance. Real Falstaff mini keg W/ fittings on front. All the rest of the car aside from the body is new or custom fabricated. I hold a clear Illinois title in my name , also have the original title & import papers. 2 owner car !!!!! Everything works as it should, lights, signals, brakes. A few small items will need to be finished up , E brake handle installed, wipers, seatbelts. If you plan to race it should have hot cam installed, rollbar, posi rear. I have included a few pics taken during the build, as well as a couple pics of the car before project started I took 100 plus pics during build , can document the whole works. Please note... all glass is good, no cracks, no fog, windsheild has a couple pits from weld spatter. Red window tint is an amature job and could stand to be re-done. Remember this car is 57 years old and is not perfect, BUT if you are looking for something original that not everybody has. ....
