We are a private collection of 60's and 70's muscle cars. We also do restorations in our two locations in the Jacksonville and Orlando area. From time to time we decide to offer one of our collector cars up for sale. Our vehicles are usually full nut and bolt restorations and are the quality of a regional or local show car winner. Many of our cars are previous trophy winners. We are not dealers just car enthusiasts who have been collecting cars for years and performing restorations to the level of regional show car quality. We are not a concourse restorer, and many of our cars are trailered to events but most vehicles can be driven if you choose to do so.
All Around Details:
Up for auction is our beautiful 1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five. This car is the completion of an 8 year build and the car has less than 400 miles on it. The is a top built Cobra fitted with a pro built small block 302 with aluminum heads, MSD electronic ignition, and Holley Double Pumper putting out approximately 400hp. Transmission is new World Class Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission. Factory Five chassis is the correct 4 tubular construction. Rear end is an 8.8 Ford rear with 3:50 gearing. Car is fitted with adjustable coil over shocks at all four corners, power rack & pinion steering, and 4 wheel disc brakes. Interior is adorned with Vintage seating and Simpson 4 Point Harness as well as a Clarion Radio/CD Player with Alpine Amp and 4 Infinity Speakers. Dash is set with seven Auto Meter white gauges displaying everything you need, push button start and replica British wood steering wheel. Paint is exquisite base coat clear coat in 2006 Ford GT Tungsten Gray with Matte Black stripping. Wheels and tires have less than 100 miles on them. This is an impeccable car that can be taken to car shows and driven as much as you want.
Exterior Details:
The high quality fiberglass body on this Factory Five was hand blocked sanded and then epoxy primer was applied. Then we hand block sande it again before the Dupont 2006 Ford GT Tungsten Gray was applied in base coat clear coat. Car was then wet sanded and buffed and finished off in matte black stripes. Has brand new Coys 17 wheels with knock off spinners and new rubber. Cobra has correct british windshield and Lemans fuel filler cap. A third brake light was added for safety and even has the vintage race headlight screens and flat black side pipes. This Cobra has an exquisite look with the high tech paint, great stance, and correct vintage look with no emblems or markings.
Interior Details:
This Cobra is fitted with the correct Vintage style low barrel pleather seats and Simpson 4 point racing harness for both driver and passenger. The dash is adorned with seven Auto Meter white face gauges and all are in working order. Includes correct oil temp gauge and 10, 000 RPM Tach which is closet gauge to the driver per race spec. Steering wheel is a wood replica british racing wheel and glove box is locking and functional. The vehicle has the correct push button On switch and is also equpped with independent interior fresh air leg fans that take on fresh air through vents adjacent to the headlights and have built in fans that are turned on by two switches on the dash giving both passenger and driver a nice cool down during warmer driving. The Cobra has an added Clarion CD Radio hooked up to an Alpine amplifier and runs through Infinity speackers mounted behind the seats and under each corner of the dash for a nice sound. The doors are mounted with the heavy duty chrome hinges and each door attaches with chrome release latches for easy in & out. I will also include the correct leather straps which are brand new. Also a nice addition is the two AC adapters on the passenger side console for cell phone charging or GPS. Pedals are aluminum AC Cobra pads and look super cool as you look in and view what the driver must go through. There is also a hidden cut off switch under the driver dash and all wiring is well hidden and an extra bonus use of aircraft skin pins in the interior sill area for a unique raw race look. Trunk is finished out and has hidden storage compartment accessible from inside the trunk.
Engine Bay & Mechanical:
Not sure where to start but I will try and capture all that I can. Start with professional built 302 Ford engine producing around 400hp and all new. Engine is equipped with aluminum heads, aluminum intake, aluminum hipo water pump, Holley Double Pumper, ceramic coated headers, MSD Ignition and Hipo coil, Ford Racing 10mm wires, billet pulleys and serpentine belt. Cobra has power rack & pinion steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, electric fan, external oil filter, High Performance mechanical fuel pump, Milodon oil pan, Ford Racing aluminum valve covers, Cobra air cleaner, braided lines, aircraft fittings, and engine turned metal framing out the engine bay. Battery is mounted under passenger fender as well as wiper motor. Brake master cylinder is mounted under driver fender. Factory Five is correct 4 tubular chassis with Pole Position tubular upper and lower control arms and anti swaybars front and rear. All four shocks are adjustable coil overs and rear is 8.8 Ford with 3:50 gearing mated to a World Class Tremec 5-Speed transmission. Everything works as it should to the highest level. No issues PERIOD.
In Summary:
This is a high quality respected Factory Five kit with a quality build. Many hours, dollars, creativity, and resources have gone into this build. Understand that this car was finished to my taste and the way I intended. It may not be to your taste or liking. However I will sell the car for less than I have financially invested in it much less the hours it took me to complete. If you are looking to be inconspicuous, then this car is not for you. This car gets tons of attention at car shows, stop lights, and driving down the road. This is a very reliable race replica that can be driven as much as you would like. This car has less than 400 miles total on it. Everything is basically new or restored over the 8 year period. There are no surprises except it is not for the faint of heart. Car is very fast and sounds incredible. This is a thrill to drive and enjoy. Car is titled as a 1965 Factory Five Roadster.
