For Sale is my Ferrari Daytona replica project car. I started this by acquiring what looks to be a fiberglass body which has never been assembled, and a frame from a 1981 Corvette. I had the frame sandblasted and powder coated, and bought a completely rebuilt rear end and assembled the front suspension with a rebuild kit. Circumstances have changed and I can't complete the project, so that's as far as I have gotten.
I don't know if this is a McBurnie or a Rowley kit, but I found an assembly manual for the Rowley kit which will be included in the auction. There is no engine or transmission. Everything included in the auction is in the pictures: Front clip, hood and hood shell, rear clip, trunk lid, door shells, inner fenders, console, and dash. I have a full set of bumpers which will need to be chromed. The body is currently sitting on the frame, and the front clip is sitting on the body as you can see in the photos. I will assist with securing the panels for shipping.
I will also include a pair of Corvette doors to be used in constructing the kit doors.
Rear end has been completely rebuilt with Van Steel offset trailing arms, rebuilt calipers, rear differential, fiberglass leaf spring, and bushings. Front end is all new bushings and ball joints, and I'm including a set of tie rod ends and stabilizer link kit. As it is now, the chassis will roll for easy transport.
NO TITLE - THIS IS SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY. I listed it as a rebuildable title because I there is no other choice, but there will be no title to go with the car. The birdcage still has a VIN, and I've listed that in the details. I did a check on the national insurance database to see if it came up as stolen or totaled, but it didn't show any such records. So, you could get a title through the bonded title process. I also have a 1982 Corvette with a clean title that is available for sale separately if you'd like to use that for the project.
