I'm forced to sell my completed Factory Five MK4 Replica. It took me 2 years to build (bought kit in 2012) Invested about $35, 000 dollars on a budget building it. Car is currently registered and insured in CT. I painted & themed it after the P51 Airplane. It turns heads everywhere, women & kids especially love it. Donor car driveline was a 1994 mustang with rear disc brakes. Had the fuel injected 302 rebuilt. It's an excellent running engine. Has a comp cam that sounds perfectly and lumpy at idle. The heads are ported & polished, bigger fuel injectors, cobra intake, BBK mass air, under drive pulleys, factory five gauges, painless wiring, brakes, paint, etc. Professionally tuned & dynoed with 312 hp at the rear wheels. It runs awesome with plenty amount of HP for how light the car is as you can play with it and still have fun economically. Gets over 20mpg when cruising down the highway. Has a 5-speed tranny with a new clutch and new 3:55 gears were installed in the rear that make driving it a blast. I built the car to drive it to local shows and just have fun with it as it was not built for a show car that sits in a garage to drool over. It has windshield wipers and the heater/defroster kit installed and a few add ons like a spacer to keep feet cool and cup holders, etc. It has a cd stereo with aux input which makes cruising extra fun. I've driven it about 3000 miles in the two seasons it's been on the road. I'm unsure of the actual mileage because the speedo gear in the tranny slides forward and doesn't seem to catch the sender enough (I haven't made it a point to fix it yet). The only other issue I found is the tires on the rear are a tiny bit too fat and scrape inside the wheel wheels when hitting a big bump (I should have bought the next width smaller). So other than one rim lip being banged up by a curb (I used donor wheels in rough shape) it's awesome and needs nothing. My dream can be your dream too. Priced to sell.
