1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II
“As good as it gets” certainly applies to this iconic symbol of Rolls Royce classicism. The Silver Cloud II holds an important place in Cloud chronology. It was the last of the two headlamp, high silhouette front end cars, while at the same time heralding the introduction of the celebrated V8 engine. This revolutionary powerplant afforded more modern, never before enjoyed, sporting spirited and nibble performance to this best of both worlds model
This particular car is unique amongst all of the other left hand drive Clouds we have ever seen over the past 46 years in that it has been factory fitted with an optional Webasto Sunshine Roof, usually only found in right handed versions of the series. These were a very European feature that afforded both the front and rear passengers the sun and fresh air, if desired, by simply folding the roof further back. One handle simply operates it manually with nothing to go wrong.
A very chic look is achieved with this feature in all positions; open, closed, or in- between that truly sets it apart from all other Clouds.
Finished in Royal Garnet, the body and paintwork are absolutely beautiful in every way, with its burgundy color scheme and contrasting roof subtlety suggesting a sportiness accenting the automobile’s already understated elegance. If the buyer has not paid the balance after that time period the deposit may be forfeited and the vehicle can be resold.
