As a specialist with a long career working with Rolls Royce, we know these cars extremely well. So when a car comes along that is truly special, we have to point it out. This Silver Wraith II is such a car and we are fortunate enough to have a detailed history on it….
In August 1979, Mr. Manila of Belleville, New-Jersey took delivery of this Silver Wraith II. He ordered this car from Charles Schmitt & Co in St. Louis, Mo. He was very specific in his taste. He specified his car ordered in Silver Sand over Walnut Two tone with twin thin Walnut finelines. Inside he specified Beige Leather with Dark Brown Piping. The carpets we to be Dark Brown with Beige binding and a Fawn headlinder. The Everflex roof was to be Beige to compliment the two tone paint scheme. Mr. Manila also specified the walnut veneer inside the car be as dark as possible. He had the Toproll covered in Dark Brown Leather and the underdash and radio surround in Beige leather. Mr. Manila had his dream car and paid $80, 925 for it.
Some years later, it was sold to it's second owner. He had purchased it in 1986 to keep at his home in Palm Beach. He used it for his visits to The Breakers and Mar A Lago where he was a member of both clubs. Always maintained to the highest standards, this is one of the finest driving examples we have ever encountered.
The month prior to our purchasing it, he spent over $5, 000 having the braking system serviced. We also have records of him putting in a new AC control unit and regular servicing.
We purchased this car from an agent of the second owner. We sold it to a collector in Las Vegas just over a year ago. He has since decided to liquidate his collection and gave us the opportunity to own this Silver Wraith II once again. Being that we loved this car so much, we were happy to buy it back. In the past year the following work has been done to it:
· Oil change and lube rear axle
· Repair passenger side rear view mirror control
· Install Rebuilt Alternator
· Replace Air Pump
· Bleed Rear Self Leveling valve
· Rebuild Self-leveling valve
· Flush coolant
· Change Transmission fluid
To get this Silver Wraith II ready for sale, we sent it to our Rolls-Royce specialist. We told him to look at every detail to make this car as turnkey as possible. In an effort to do so, we performed:
· Fit new accumulator to frame line to accumulator housing
· Overhaul and refit #1 brake Accumulator housing
· Overhaul both rear brake fluid reservoirs, clean filter, fit new seals, bleed brakes and refill
· Fit 2 new door mirror gaskets
· Check all lights, fluids, tire pressures, and filters
Its obvious this previous owner put as much car and attention into this Silver Wraith II as the previous owners before him.
Prior to our purchasing this Silver Wraith II, we had our local Rolls-Royce expert, they verified all the reported work had been done, and only needed a few minor things. This is a Rolls Royce that is without compromise. It still retains its lambswool rugs and rear foot rests and all are in exceptional condition.
Included with the purchase of this Rolls Royce are all of these original accessories:
· Complete set of owner's books and owners leather case
· Included are the owners manual, service book, warranty book, radio owners manual, AC hang tag, Radio operation hang tag, list of dealers, original tire warranty book
· Full set of lambswool rugs in exceptional conation

This is one of the most complete and original examples we have seen. This is the most desirable of Rolls-Royce sedans. The Silver Wraith II has 4 additional rear seat legroom as well as a smaller rear window over the standard Silver Shadow. We have driven this car almost 200 miles in the past week and it is performing without flaw. It also has the coldest Air conditioning we have ever seen in this generation.
For the Rolls-Royce enthusiast and collector, this is a Silver Wraith not to pass on. Everything in the car works as it should and there are no modifications. Even the original radio and antenna work perfectly.
