Starting in 2006 - Saab's top of the line 9-3 Aero convertible got a pretty major UP-grade / face-lift moving from a 4cyl engine to a
6cyl Turbo
. This made the car much quicker, yet he MPG didn't move down much-Saab won various awards for this engine. For Saab enthusiasts -
the 2006-20012 Saab Aero that featured the upgraded engine are the ones to own
. The problem is because of the high price they didn't produce many of the 6cyl Turob Convertibles, and finding a lower mileage example today under $10k is extremely hard to find, until now. .
4 Sale (from my private collection):
2006 Saab 9-3 Aero (#'s Matching 6cyl Turbo) Only 55k Actual Miles! Originally a $46k+ car loaded like this one.
Engine: ZERO ISSUES! Runs, sounds, and drives like new.
Mechanics: I just took the car to local mechanic - had him go through EVERYTHING - Result: battery was a little weak (put in brand new battery), and changed one of the Xenon headlights. This car is ready to drive. Tires have less than 350 miles on them (receipt), brakes were re-done all way around 35k miles (receipt), and all normal maintenance has been performed.
Body: NO rust. Paint retains all original shine and luster. Not show car -trailer-queen perfect- some garage dings, but stunning overall.
Interior: Mint! This doesn't even show driver's seat wear you usually see.
(convertible top): Like new. Insulated, and comes with rear glass window and rear defog (part of the winter package)
EXTRA: There were three extra factory upgrade packages offered for this car- this one has ALL 3 - making a rare car, even rarer.
Title/Autocheck report: Clean-Clear Title in my name with no issues - NO Accidents and high Autocheck score (see below pictures for more details).
Notice: Not even the typical wear you normally see on driver's seat (see below)!
Love the ignition placement between seats - also notice option for you to put Automatic trans. into
Manual- mode -where you can use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel - very fun!
VERY expensive and sporty steering wheel - Stereo controls and paddle shifting option at your
finger-tips.
Optioned with parking assistance - let's you know when you get too close to something when backing-up. A handy feature when parking in tight spots.
One of the bigger trunks you will find in any convertible - fits all the bags from the grocery store,
long enough for a couple sets of golf clubs, and would have no problem with big luggage for the trip.
The V6-Turbo engine - clean and detailed. NO leaks, ticks, of knocks, of any kind.
Rear seats fit two adults comfortably-notice the premium seats - high quality with nice headrests.

Misc. Shots :Lastly a few shots with the Top- Off BTW- Taking the top down and up is simply pressing a button -very cool how this works (includes all windows (if you press longer) - I will try and get a video link up. The trunk on this car is really huge for a convertible!

Q#1) What about the AutoCheck history report?
A#1) After 6 tries on selling a car - ebay does NOT include the history report. I don't feel a potential buyer should be required to buy
this - so I have purchased the report and will be happy to send a current to the day report to anybody interested in the car. Here is a

Q#2) Does seller have a track record selling quality cars on ebay - (trust factor) ?
A#2) I have been on ebay for 6 years and sold 7 quality cars - I have sold all, but one on the first try because I sell only investment
grade
examples at realistic prices. BTW - you can see all the below under my feedback at top of page (just saving you time).
Q#3 The Biggie PRICE?
A#3 - As mentioned before I am realistic - I price to sell. Not doing this for a living, just a
hobby. When you have a car this rare and with such few miles - you really have to do look
at auction prices:
1. Compare it to other like Aeroconvertibles - not coupes, or anything else.
2. Compare it to 6cyl Turbo's 2006-and newer. Not the 4cyl
3. Compare it to like condition.
4. Compare it to like MILES!
I did look through ebay completed:
Highest-end:
2010- with 40k miles for $18, 500-(seller took tad less) Newer and 15k less miles, but almost twice the $.
Middle- end:
2006- with 99k miles for $6, 950 -Dealer selling in trade, looked not as nice, and almost 2X the miles!
Lowest-end:
2006- with 88k miles for $5, 900 -When I saw this - I thought something MUST be wrong here -
sure enough upon further
review- the car had a SALVAGE Title -NO Buyer Protection - totaled.
I do give this seller credit. He disclosed the info in
his ad twice.
