Price: US $3,200.00
The blue book price is $4, 355.
I'm selling it for less because I want to sell it quick and it's got some issues.
The Good:I'm the second owner. I've owned it since it had 33k miles on the clock, and I've been religious about my maintenance. Full synthetic oil changes every 10k miles (per the manual). All maintenance documented.New(ish) matching Goodyear tires. I don't think any of them have more than 15k miles on them.Cold AC. Recently replaced cabin fan.Lots of new parts. The hydraulic cylinders that raise and lower the top go bad after about 8 years. I've already replaced / rebuilt 4 of them, so you wont have to.New battery (less than 3 months old)Two new xenon bulbs for the headlights Clean title, no accidentsCar tracks straight and true, alignment is perfectIncludes two keys clickers, and all the original manualsHas all the available options for that model year, including: rain sensing wipers, rear parking assist, remote operating power top (you can lower the top with your key fob), 210 hp turbocharged engine, line in audio, etcHas a trailer hitch and wiring harnessIncludes good spare tire and original toolkit
The Bad:It's got a clear vinyl bra that is cracking and discolored and needs to be removed. I started to peel it off but it's a bit of a pain. I've heard using a hair dryer can help. The 6 disc CD changer is jammed and doesn't work. I've purchased a replacement factory single cd player that will come with the car, but it isn't installed. The front driver's side speaker is a bit crackly at high volume; it may be blown, but if you have the fade and balance set right you don't really notice itThe stereo won't turn on when the car starts. To get it to work, you have to remove and reinsert a particular fuse after you've started the car. I believe the reason for this is that the amplifier under the driver's seat at one point got wet, and is now reporting a fault. Removing and reinserting the fuse clears the fault. I've heard it's relatively easy to replace that amplifier, or remove it from the circuit entirely. The driver's side seat has faded leather around the side bolster, and a split seam. The top leaks. It doesn't leak a lot. You could go through a light to medium rain and it won't leak at all. But in a very heavy rain it will drip in a couple of spots. I've priced a new top; installed it would run you $1, 500.There is a electric sensor in the trunk that prevents the top from lowering if there's anything in the trunk that could obstruct the lid that lowers down with the roof is lowered. This sensor is malfuntioning, which prevents the top from being lowered normally. There's a trick that enables you to lower the top by lowering it partially, toggling the manual top operation mode on and off, and then lowering it the rest of the way. The top mechanicals are sound, and the top can be raised and lowered electronically and manually, but this sensor does need to be fixed. There's a slight rattle that developed recently. Had my mechanic look around but he can't find what's rattling. You might not notice it, but I did. There seems a be a very slow oil leak. Every 6 months or so it needs a quart of oil to top up. Compression is good, so it's nothing serious, but I'm not sure where it's leaking. You'll see a low oil pressure warning in the information display when it needs more, so it's easily managed. The car has all the light scratches and small dents typical in an 11 year old automobile, but nothing big or serious. The car has got some issues, but it's solid mechanically.
If someone were to invest a bit of time and money, it would be absolutely solid for another 10 years.
I'm using the car for work this week, so the mileage will go up a little.
