Description:

Up for sale is a very well cared for 1999 SAAB 9-3 SE Turbo convertible 5-speed. The paint is what I'd consider good, not great - being a FL vehicle, the paint on cars takes a beating in the hot, HOT sun, so the clear coat is flaking in a few spots on the hood and trunk lid. The white 'runs' on the rear bumper is just run off from some bug and tar remover I used that I hadn't completely wiped off...and it rained the day I photographed the car. .so whatever excess I missed wiping off dissolved and ran. I can provide/upload updated photos of the back of the car if anyone wants to see for themselves. The car has: a new convertible top (glass rear window), AC compressor, radiator, engine and transmission mounts, tires, front struts, all front control arms and tie rod ends, recent alignment, new Bosch BOV and new 5-year battery (with receipt for the warranty); receipts for thousands to get this car back in tip-top shape! Receipts for all repairs will go with the car as much of the work I've had done is covered by warranty for a year.
The convertible top works flawlessly. The AC blows ice cold, and the heat works as well...not that we need heat very often here in FL. All the displays (the SID and AC controls) work perfectly without any dead pixels. The interior is in good condition with only slight surface wear and creases in the leather seats - no tears or holes whatsoever. Power windows and door locks and key fob remotes for the security system; remote also opens the trunk. 6-CD changer in the trunk works fine and doesn't skip. The power radio antenna has been replaced and goes up/down when the radio is switched on/off as it should. The SID shows CHECK OK which means all systems are go. The fog lights don't work. A SAAB mechanic told me it's probably a bad relay, but I have never needed to use them so I didn't chase it down. It has 131K miles, runs great; and burns no oil; the turbo spools up quickly and really kicks in. Since I've owned it for the past couple of years, all I've used is Castrol full-synthetic oil and 93 Octane gas. It was a snowbird's vehicle - one they'd tow behind an RV when they visited Florida. They traded it in here where I picked it up at a used car dealer. I just happen to like SAABs. :-) When I purchased it, it had a slightly dented rear left fender and an impression in the rear bumper cover...probably a pole - both I had professionally repaired...I'm a bit of a perfectionist and wanted the vehicle as good as it could be. I'm selling it because I've purchased a new vehicle and my wife can't drive a standard shift, so she needs a different car.
