2001 SAAB VIGGEN CONVERTIBLE: This is a re-list. The car is a very well-maintained 2001 Saab Viggen. 5 Spd, All Power, Heated Seats, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Windows, Brakes, Windows, Tilt Wheel, Cruise, Locks, Security Alarm. I get 33 MPG+/- on Hwy and 25 MPG in city. The car has 139, 000 easy miles on it – runs like its new. Care and maintenance includes the following. All new hoses and extended Saab Anti-freeze @ 138K. Oil and filter changed @ 3K miles without fail (Royal Purple Oil). Replaced Roof Boot Cap Motor @ 138K. New struts and control arms @ 132K. New front tires @ 131K. Back tires 65% tread. New brakes all around @ 131K. New position crank sensor @ 133K. New ignition cassette (lifetime warranty) and iridium plugs @131K. KN lifetime air filter. No rust on body, paint very nice for age and mileage – 2 or 3 small “dings.” Roof in good condition – 3 areas very lite frays – superficial. All electrical works. Leather interior is very nice condition - driver’s seat has some minor wear where you get in and out – no tears anywhere. All other leather like new. Comes with extra parts (sensor, rotors, extra turbo, misc). A great running car – fun, safe, economical, powerful, quick. Other: XM antenna mast is missing. Car as is – No warranty stated or implied.
As a result of receiving input from several Saab experts - for full disclosure: The engine in the car is likely not the original engine, but does seem to be a like replacement. Apparently the engine cover is supposed to have Viggen embossed on it - a fact I was unaware of at the time I bought it and when I listed the car. The engine is this car, has EcoBoost 2.3 on the engine cover. I also had questions about the mechanical condition; specifically the clutch and if anything was wrong with the engine - apart from the engine probably being replaced. I bought the car in Delaware about 4 years ago. with 119K miles on it. There was no history with the car when I bought it - I can only say the car was obviously well maintained...at least by appearance of interior, exterior, engine compartment and inside valve cover (no build up/residue at all) how the engine ran (and runs), idled, no exhaust warnings, etc. the clutch functioned like a new clutch (tension, pedal, engagement with the flywheel, etc). Given the functionality of the clutch and that it had 119K miles on it - I assume it was relatively new, but can't say for sure. The car has no leaks anywhere, it does not burn oil, it does not idle rough, it runs and looks really good.
