2002 Saab 9-5 Linear black w/tan leather interior in good condition. Engine needs rebuilding. 171k miles. Has new brakes and 4 new Michelen Premier A/S tires ((215/55R16) with less than 10k miles on them (60k warranty). New brakes and alignment at 170K miles. Original owner with good maintenance history (all records).
Engine not blown, but not running. Was running with good power/no noise until just a few weeks ago. Started to lose oil pressure after hot. This Saab engine is known for sludge build up in the oil sump blocking the strainer, when it reaches high mileage. I pulled the oil pan and discovered metal flakings in the oil from bearing wear due to oil starvation. I didn't want to rebuild it myself so I didn't see any sense in putting back on the road as the engine will blow eventually without attention. Good as daily driver or parts car.
