The car was bought in the Los Angeles area and the owner owned for about 20 yrs. I am about the 3rd owner as far as I know. I bought the Saab from a gentleman that brought to Oregon about 7 yrs ago.He had built a Trike motorcycle in the 60s or early 70s that he used a Saab engine and transmission. He only wanted the transmission cause his was bad. Then decided not to part the car out for just the transmission. It needs a lot of TLC. Or you could put the fenders back on, put rebuilt engine in and the transmission fix the brakes put on new tires ( just getting old) rebuild carbs (3) and drive it. It has been hit on each side of the car but repaired. The left front panel behind the front bumper had so much bondo I cut a 6'x 8? piece out to weld a new one in.It has a California clear title. I have had the car for about 2 yrs. But lost interest when I bought a 1969 R69S BMW motorcycle. And found out how much it cost to restore one of thosAny questions just ask. Bought rebuilt engine,rebuilt brake master cylinder, rebuilt clutch master,also have the engine that came with the car.# 2 piston cracked. Also have a rebuilt crankshaft for that engine.New rear light lenses. Brake caliper pistons kits, new steering boots installed. Fenders are off engine and transmission are out. Has a nice dash the rest is rip & tear. Needs seats redone, head liner. Wiring is tagged for ease reinstallation. Some surface rust, but is a real solid 1967 Saab, some bondo repair couple places, lived in Los Angles California for 40 + yrs. Moved to Oregon about 7 yrs ago. Rolling chassis now. Not sure about the milage.” |
