I bought is beautiful 1967 SAAB a few years ago as a project car. I got busy with work and never did a thing to it. Now I need the money to expand my business. My loss is your gain...
This is a 1967 SAAB 96. The color is beige or cream with gray interior. It was the last year of the two stroke engine and so I had to have it. It is also a 3 cylinder, 3 carburetor, 2 door coupe - and who the heck doesn't want one of those?!!It is in fair condition but as you are looking remember it is a total barn find and is a project car so it does NOT currently run. If you are a fan of vintage, foreign projects, this could definitely be something for you.
I bought the car from an estate sale of what I was told was the original owner but I have no way to verify that so take it with a grain of salt.
The engine and drive train are TOTALLY complete as far as I can tell. It just needs a good mechanic to get it running. The body is VERY SOLID.
I have the pink slip, one blank key (needs a locksmith to key it) and it is ready to go. This vehicle has a clear title
Odometer shows 30, 479 miles.
PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES - THEY ARE AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS LISTING. THE CAR IS A FIXER AND I DON'T WANT TO HIDE ANYTHING. It is rare, special and unusual and that is why I bought it. I believe it will only go up in value from here. My plan was to restore it and make it a fabulous cruiser to tour the Malibu coastline. BUT...life has a way of getting in the way.
So here are the other details: (I assure you my goal is to leave nothing out so read this and check out the photos and email me and ask as many questions as you like). My wife is listing this for me and she or I will get back to you immediately.
It has rust on the floor, under the pedal assembly and passenger foot area.
There are various dents in the body.
Tail lights are missing.
Drivers door needs some adjusting
Front seats are in good/useable condition. Rear seats need to be recovered.
OVERALL - A VERY SOLID CAR.
