Up for auction is a 1972 Saab Sonett #1514 of 2000 built. Has been in storage for the past few years, and only been driven to keep running. Paint and tires are from the '90's and are need of refurbishing. Still has original interior. Pan and rockers and in very good condition. One picture shows fiberglass work to fix a hole (seam) in the interior under the carpet. Has had brakes and clutch rebuilt. Transmission whines and makes noise when driving. Been that way since my uncle got it in 1980 w/19434 miles on it and I got in 2007 w/21135 miles on it. Currently has 21542 miles driving to car shows.
Car was found in 1980 with a spun front bearing and front end deer damage. Over the course of many years it was finished in the '90's with paint and tires. Interior was left alone except for a good cleaning. 2009 put in clutch and redid the brakes and carburetor. Paint has started to show its age and the tires have started to crack from age. Two pictures show the paint areas on top and front end. It was shown for many years until a few years ago, when put into storage, and worked on other project. Now have lost storage and still working on other projects. Still a very good to restore again.
One picture shows what was detailed under the hood. Car is complete and not apart. Books and Manuals go with car.
