Description:

I am selling a crashed 2001 Saturn SL2. Here's the long story...
I bought the Saturn in September of 2013 with a salvage title (According to the old title (of which I kept a copy), it was traded in to Quirk Ford in Quincy, MA with 81, 290 on the odometer on 7/1/13. The used car dealer I purchased it from bought it at auction on 7/29/13.). The dealer told me it was involved in a light front end crash. Upon driving it home, I noticed the odometer was not working. I traced the problem to the BCM (apparently this is a known issue), which was replaced with a salvage yard part I pulled from a '02 SC2 with the same motor and transmission (I will include the original BCM with the sale.). The odometer read 204, 071 with the replacement BCM. The air bag light popped on, and I brought it to Commonwealth Chevrolet in Lawrence, MA to have the BCM reset so the air bags would work properly and the Saturn would pass inspection. The BCM reset/flash and state inspection were done on 12/2/13. The Saturn passed state inspection with flying colors. In mid-January of 2014 with 206, 157 miles, the motor blew. I bought a used motor with only 52, 142 miles from a salvage yard in upstate New York (I have the receipts and pictures from the donor car). The motor was swapped 8/14/2014 (The mechanic remarked several times how clean the new motor was.). On 8/20/14 at 206, 281 the rear brake lines were replaced. On 10/21/14, the front pads and rotors were replaced, along with the O2 sensor and belt tensioner. On December 1st, 2014, a one ton Dodge dump cut in front of me and the Saturn was totaled. There is heavy front end damage, but the motor was not touched. The air bags did not deploy. There were 215, 790 miles on it.
After sitting since the crash, I recently started it. It fired right up. The two front wheels are steel, the rear two are aluminum. The tires have between 3/32-5/32 (I swapped the wheels and tires with the replacement '00 Saturn I bought, as the ones on the crashed Saturn were a matching set and in better shape.). I swapped the front pads and rotors with the replacement Saturn, but they are in decent shape. The clutch and transmission are good. The Saturn has the usual options, power windows/locks, cruise, ABS, A/C. The interior is in decent shape, no rips, tears, or obvious stains in the seats. All the body panels from the firewall back are good. The basic AM/FM radio is there and works. The windshield is cracked (not from the crash), but the rest of the glass is good. I swapped out the left rear tail light housing, so that is broken (someone or something hit the replacement Saturn). The jack and decent spare are there.
The Saturn runs and yard drives, but is being sold for parts only with a salvage title. It will make it on a trailer under its own power. According to my best guesstimate, the body has roughly 93K miles on it, and the motor has 63, 862 miles. I have receipts for whenever the car was touched. Just the motor alone is worth the $600 if not more. If I can't get the $600, I'll part it out. I do have a trailer and am willing to deliver for additional money, depending on where you are. Please ask any questions, as once the title is signed and the Saturn leaves my possession, it's all yours.
Thanks for looking.
