2002 Saturn Vue ... 3.0 Liter All Wheel Drive ... Excellent Condition !!!
This AWD Saturn Vue with Automatic Transmission was my wife's baby. Leather Interior, CD, No leaks, no squeaks, no warning lights! Aside from a couple of very minor superficial items there's nothing wrong with this vehicle. You can drive it from coast to coast right now without a problem !!! Tires are in great shape, battery is apx. 2 years old, brakes were done, catalyctic converter and O2 sensors were replaced, new AC compressor about 2 - 3 years ago, etc. She took her Saturn to the shop at the slightest hint of trouble. From one of her income tax returns she had the purple paint job done. Not some half-baked job either. Paint inside the door hinges, inner jambs, etc. A couple of years back there was a grounding issue with a bad horn relay or sensor which is hidden behind the driver's side airbag. To make sure that that can never happen again ($720 Dealer Fix) she had the horn relay professionally bi-passed, followed by installing a separate horn with button on the dash (see last 4 photos). My wife will miss her Saturn Vue dearly,
but work is taking us Overseas and there's no point in paying for several years of storage. Anyway, about those minor superficial items ... The driver's side seat has a couple of small holes or tears. We bought new front seat covers and the buyer will receive them as part of the purchase. If my wife kept the vehicle she'd pay about $150 to re-upholster each front seat. Some of the window film has started to loosen a little due to age. It's really not a big deal but we're mentioning it anyway. The passenger side headlight bulb just burnt out a couple of days ago. New halogen bulbs can be purchased in pairs for less than $20 right here on eBay. My wife is not a big fan of vehicle cleaning, so the Saturn could definitely use some carpet shampoo and Vinyl/Plastic cleaner. As stated, strictly minor superficial issues.
Recall Item:
We have a letter from the manufacturer which is good for the life of the vehicle. There was a recall due to a key issue which permits an occupant of the car to remove the key from the ignition while the engine is running. This never bothered my wife and since we're not aware of any dealers close to us the issue was never corrected. The vehicle runs absolutely perfectly though, so it's up to the buyer to decide whether or not the key issue needs to be dealt with.
