This 2013 Scion FR-S delivers exciting driving dynamics at an appealing price, with a sporty 200hp engine and a suspension system designed around performance driving. This FR-S gets up to 25/34 mpg city/highway, which is amazing for a sports car. My typical average is 30-32 combined with city and highway. The 6-speed manumatic transmission shifts exceptionally fast, and the paddle-shifters make the driving experience more like a F-1 Race Car than a sports car. The racing-inspired front seats are incredibly comfortable and keep you locked in the cockpit for any maneuver.
This FR-S is extra sporty with a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) exhaust system ($1100) and an Injen Intake ($300). The tires are in good condition and the body is as close to flawless as a used car can get. The paint is brand new in the same factory black metal flake that originally came on the car, and looks amazing. It also has an aftermarket alarm system with remote start for the ignition.
This car was well maintained with Synthetic oil. The next oil change is scheduled at 40, 000 miles. I wouldn't be selling it if it weren't for financial hardship, as I absolutely adore this car. Because it is a used car, it is sold as-is.
Note:
The airbag (SRS) light on the dash is on because the driver airbag is not presently plugged in. I have had many family members injured by airbags and don't like the idea of an explosive in my face. If you want the airbag plugged in prior to delivery, simply make mention of it when you pay the deposit and I will have it done.
Why does this Car have a rebuilt Title?
This FR-S was in a front-end collision where an over-exaggerated insurance adjustment rendered the car salvaged. In actuality there was very little damage done to the vehicle (to the point where it should have been fixed by insurance and kept its clear title), and absolutely no frame or engine and powertrain damage. About $4, 000 in genuine parts from Toyota went into restoring the front end of this car to its factory condition (receipts available with purchase). The AC has a fresh recharge and is ice-cold. The brakes have also been completely renewed on all 4 wheels and are good for another 50k+ miles. This is as close to a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle as you can get for a rebuilt car. The title is in hand and will transfer easily to the new buyer for registration in your state. Rebuilt means it has been inspected by a DOT agent and meets all the safety requirements to be driven on the road - essentially they have certified that this car has been restored to its original condition.
