I absolutely love this car, but I'm moving across the country and will no longer need it. It's an absolute pleasure to drive--great visibility, very spacious, easy to park. This car was originally owned by my grandfather, who passed it to my father, who passed it to me. It has been well taken care of by all three of us.
The car has never had any mechanical issues. I have service records for 50, 000, 60, 000 and 70, 000 miles. My grandpa had it serviced routinely before this but apparently didn't keep the records. I took it to the Toyota dealer recently to get a quote on the back latch (see below) and they gave it a multipoint inspection. The tires, brakes, fluids, and all that kind of stuff were given high marks.
The car is in great physical condition. Prior to this year, it lived its entire life in California, so it's only had to endure one New England winter. There's no rust or anything like that on it. Only very minor scratches on the exterior. Interior is in excellent condition. I didn't even have it cleaned before taking the picture of the interior, and I still think it looks good. The car only has three defects: -A medium size dent on the top right of the passenger side front door (visible if you zoom in on the first picture). I've never tried to have this repaired, as you don't really notice it unless you're looking for it. -The back latch (that you grab to open the trunk area) has broken off. I taped in back on and it's not difficult to find a cheap fix for this (like tape or glue). But I just took it to a Toyota dealer and was quoted $200 for parts and labor to completely fix it (I'm sure an independent repair shop would be cheaper). So not an expensive fix if you want to fix that. I can give you the paper with Toyota's quote. -The hub-cups are decently scratched up. Nothing too bad. I have a full additional set of Arctic Claw winter tires that I will include for free. If you're planning to keep the car in New England, you'll need these. But if you have them, driving in the winter here is no problem at all. I bought them this winter so the treads are still in excellent condition.
Buyer will have to arrange pick up or shipping from Hanover, New Hampshire. I am heading back to California on June 14th, so you'll have to figure out how you're picking up the car before that time. If you absolutely need to pick up the vehicle at a later time, I can probably arrange for a friend to keep it at their house until then.
